Yesterday We did it again and met with some friends for hiking in the greens of Berlin and the city’s sourrounding. This time we took the chance of Good Friday to ring in Easter Weekend. We met in Berlin’s North-East and headed for a lake right behind the city limit and back to our starting point.
When we started after breakfast time it was cold with chances of wind and rain, but during the day the weather turned out to get really fine. At our first picknick stop we had some nice cold but warming Easter drink and were joined by two international celebreties.
The path went through a renaturalized former irrigation district, where Berlin sewage was sent until about 30 years ago. Now there grow a lot of trees, you find wild and domestic animals and along the paths there are dozens of sculptures by local and international artists. You name it: there was a lot to discover. But time was limited, because all in all we had to make something like 22 Kilometers *sweat*.
Ofcourse my trusty good ol’ D300 was always along with me and so I can present a few impressions.
